1. For the past three years straight, our accounting students have ranked in the top five schools in the nation for passing all parts of the Certified Public Accounting exam on the first attempt!
2. We are one of only 167 business schools in the world accredited in both Business and Accounting by AACSB International.
AACSB accreditation is the world’s “gold standard” for business programs.
3. The average ACT score for entering freshmen declaring business as their major was 27.
4. We have small class sizes. Our student to faculty ratio is 16:1, which means personal attention and mentoring.
5. There are eight different student clubs in career areas in which to get involved. This year’s Students in Free Enterprise team won the Midwest Regional Competition and went on to the second round of finals competition in Kansas City with over 100 teams from throughout the nation.
6. Our faculty members are outstanding teachers and scholars. Faculty members have earned Ph.D. degrees, the MBA, or Master’s Degree from top programs around the country including Kansas, Missouri, Indiana, Nebraska and others. Our own Dr. Jeff Romine received the highly prestigious Walker and Doris Allen Fellowship for Faculty Excellence.
7. Exceptional students get recognized. This past year, Phi Beta Lambda received the Gold Seal at the National Leadership Conference. A member of Delta Sigma Pi was named Provincial Collegian of the Year, a national honor.
8. Programs like Boeing Blitz and Executive-in-Residence bring to campus leaders of industry as guest speakers who share their executive knowledge and practice.
9. For the last 10 years, our students have achieved in the top 5% of the national population who took the Major Field Test in Business.
10. Passports are required! Three different countries were visited during the two-week Europe-In-Transition program this spring. Business and Accountancy participates in national and international student exchange programs.
